"App is a pain to use sometimes"
At first Robinhood app looks simple, but once I actually started using it, it got annoying fast. Some menus feel kind of hidden, the charts lag now and then, and even finding something basic like order history takes more taps than it should. I also had app freeze on me when I was trying to check a stock, which was really frustrating. Maybe it works fine for some people, but for me it feels clunky and not worth headache.

I tried opening an account, but the verification process was more frustrating than it should’ve been. I uploaded my ID and then basically sat around waiting with hardly any updates. Support took a while to get back to me too, which didn’t help. For something that should feel quick and straightforward, this was a disappointing start.

"Support didn’t really get me anywhere"
I’m sure support might be fine for simpler questions, but for my issue, it wasn’t much help. I kept getting what felt like the same copy-and-paste replies, and after several days, the problem still isn’t fixed. Frustrating when you’re actually trying to get something resolved.
"Tax forms were actually accurate"
I used Robinhood for my taxes this year, and surprisingly, the 1099 matched up well with my trades. Nothing seemed to be missing or wildly off, which is more than I expected. It did take a bit longer than it probably should have to find the form, because apparently that needed to be a mini scavenger hunt, but once I got to it, everything was fine

"Margin trading was more confusing than I expected"
I tried using margin on Robinhood i kind of regret it. The rules felt confusing, and the app didn’t really make it clear what was happening with my buying power, or I guess it showed it, but not in a way that made sense to me at the time.
I ended up getting hit with a margin call way faster than I thought I would, and support was slow and not all that helpful. Maybe people who know margin better would be fine with it, but for me it was just stressful and annoying.

"App froze right when I needed it"
Robinhood is fine when everything’s running smoothly, but... it froze on me during busy market hours, which was really frustrating. Not the worst app, but that timing was annoying.

"Account transfer was more of a hassle than I expected"
I’d only recommend using this if it really matches what you need, because my account transfer ended up being a lot more annoying than I thought it would be (and I’m usually patient with this kind of stuff). It took way longer than expected, and the updates weren’t very clear, so I kept checking back without really knowing what was going on.
That was probably the most frustrating part for me, just feeling stuck waiting around with no real info. I don’t mind a process taking time if I know what’s happening, but this felt like I was left guessing most of the time (not exactly reassuring).
I also reached out to support, but the replies were basic and didn’t really help move anything along. Maybe other people have a smoother experience, but mine was frustrating enough that I wouldn’t want to deal with another transfer like this again.

"The fees ruined the deal"
I thought this was going to be a cheap option, but then all these little fees kept showing up out of nowhere. They make it sound like everything is simple and affordable, but the promises are so vague that you don’t really know what you’re paying for until it’s too late. I reached out to support, but they didn’t explain it very well, which just made the whole thing more frustrating

"Support Made Me Less Confident"
The Robinhood app itself is fine and easy to use, but my experience with support was frustrating. I had a question about my account and it took way too long to get a real response. When they did reply, it felt kind of generic, like they were answering from a script instead of actually looking into what I was asking. With anything involving money, quick and clear help matters a lot because it affects how much you trust the platform. Overall, it wasn’t a terrible experience, but it definitely made me realize how important good support is, and I expected better

I opened an account, but I was already feeling a bit uneasy at the time, and the app didn’t really help change that. It looks simple enough to use, but I never got that sense of trust I’d want when it comes to my money. Support was slower than I expected, and I kept feeling like something could go wrong. In the end, I just didn’t feel comfortable using it.

"Alerts are useful when they actually show up"
I mostly use Robinhood to keep tabs on prices, and to be fair, the app is nice when I’m just checking things myself. The problem is the alerts are kind of all over the place. Sometimes a price notification comes in late, and sometimes it just never shows up, which is impressive in the least helpful way.
Meanwhile, I’ll still get random news alerts I didn’t ask for, so clearly the app knows how to bother me when it wants to. It’s fine for manually looking things up, but I’ve pretty much stopped trusting the alerts to tell me anything on time

"Good app, but the account freeze was stressful"
I’ve been using robinhood for a bit and, for the most part, it’s been easy to deal with. I mean, I’m not doing anything too complicated on it, but buying and selling has been simple enough and the app itself doesn’t feel overwhelming.
The one thing that threw me off was when my account got restricted after I changed some bank info. I don’t really know if it was something on my end or just their security process, but I had to send in documents and wait a couple days, which made me nervous.
Support eventually got it fixed, so it wasn’t a disaster or anything. I’d still give it 4 stars since everything works fine now, but I do wish they explained the freeze/restriction stuff a little more clearly while it’s happening.

"Account security felt shaky"
I started getting weird login alerts, which immediately made me nervous. I reached out to support, but the replies felt like they were coming from robots answering emails, and it took way too long to get any real help. The fraud protection didn’t make me feel protected at all, so I ended up moving my money out. I just don’t feel comfortable trusting Robinhood with my account security anymore

I expected this to be straightforward, but the cash management side has been a headache. My transfers took way longer than they should have, and when I reached out to support, it mostly felt like I was getting copy-paste responses instead of actual help. Maybe it works fine when everything goes smoothly, but my experience definitely left a bad impression.

"Pretty bare-bones selection"
robinhood is fine if you’re just messing around with basic stocks, but the investment choices feel kind of laughably limited. I was hoping for more funds and decent bond options, and nope, it’s just not really there. compared to other apps that give you way more to choose from, robinhood feels like the kiddie menu of investing platforms.
